A quote from my pleasure reading book
Hi everyone! I’d like to share an interesting quote from the book “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” by Ken Kesey.
“Man, when you lose your laugh you lose your footing.”
This line is spoken by McMurphy, a new patient at the asylum, who said that the first thing he noticed at the institution was that no one was laughing. He probably meant that you’ve got to keep your sense of humor, or you’ll lose any power you had.
And I totally agree. When life gets tough, there’s no better tool than a sense of humor to avoid falling into despair.
I think laughter is the best medicine. Those with a good sense of humor are cheerful. Every day to them is a sunny one. If storm clouds appear, they rely on laughter, because it adds moments of brightness to the darkest days, just like lightning does.
